Hot Enough For Ya?

So I woke up late today and need to run to the local Mobil Super Pantry for smokes and some Diet Pepsi. So I bundled up and went outside.

I immediately began to sweat. I quickly ripped off my coat, stocking cap and sweat shirt and turned to the thermometer attached to the outside of my kitchen window.

So, it’s January 12th and it’s 60 degrees outside. Officially it got to 66 here, twice the normal high. Pretty nice, yet last week it snowed and was barely in the 20’s. Sunday it’s supposed to be 19.

So here’s my question. What the hell is going on? Could this be the global warming the environmentalists have been warning us about? Could this be the result of the United States pulling out of the Kyoto protocol?

I have no idea myself. I’m not a meteorologist, no do I play one on tee-vee. I’m not against the occasional hot January. I just want this wacko weather to make up its mind. In December we had days where all I had to wear to work was my wind breaker. Then there were days when I had to bundle up hard core.

If this is indeed the end of the world as we know it, I wish there would be some sort of official announcement. There is much looting and pillaging I would like to get done before the Earth deep sixes us.
